NMO is a registered national NGO with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor No 284. Our mission is to take the lead to empower communities in Yemen through humanitarian response and sustainable development programs in a professional way through effective partnerships. NMO started its activity in Yemen since 2012 and has been implementing projects in 5 sectors, namely FSL, Education and Child Protection, WASH and Health, Shelter and CCCM, and Governance and skill-building.

NMO is looking for an efficient and qualified person to fill the post of CBPN Supervisor to carry out the following tasks:

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the process of choosing the CBPN members in the targeted districts.
  • Conduct training for the CBPN members on the protection standards and vulnerability criteria and network job mechanism and other related tasks.
  • Provide CBPN members with the appropriate reporting forms and mechanisms to report any vulnerable cases and arrival of new IDPs families.
  • Follow up with the CBPN members to fill up and send the applications of the received cases and do the necessary revision to approve the cases and match them with the vulnerability criteria.
  • Receive the referred cases of the IDPs by the CBPNs members.
  • In coordination with the Protection Officer and Activity Coordinator, the CBPN supervisor will refer the cases received to the field team for field assessment and verification.
  • Work with CBPNs to disseminate key protection messages to people of concern.
  • Hold awareness sessions for the IDPs and the host community in protection field and other related issues.
  • Receive the reports related to the awareness sessions held by the CBPNs members in the field.
  • Conducting field visits to assess the cases that were reported by the CBPN members and assess the level of satisfaction over the offered services.
  • Conduct regular meetings with the CBPN members in the targeted districts.
  • Evaluate the performance of the CBPN members in the targeted districts.
  • Perform any requested activities by the Activity Coordinator or the Protection Officer.
  • Insert data sent by the CBPN members into the database.
  • Write the requested reports professionally.
  • Any other tasks as requested by the direct supervisor.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or a similar field of study.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position, especially in Protection Projects.
  • Excellent computer skills – including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to plan with good organizational skills, multi-task including prioritization, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Initiative and ability to follow up on issues.
  • Good reporting and communication skills.
  • Self-motivation, goal/result-orientation, and teamwork.
  • Flexibility, tolerance, and maturity.
  • A good team player having knowledge and skills on group dynamics.
  • Respect cross-cultural environment as well as views of co-workers.
