NMO is a registered national NGO with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor No 284 Our mission is to take the lead to empower communities in Yemen through humanitarian response and sustainable development programs in a professional way through effective partnerships NMO started its activity in Yemen since 2012 and has been implementing projects in 5 sectors, namely FSL, Education and child protection, WASH and Health, Shelter and CCCM and protection, and Governance and Capacity building

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Compliance with the systems, procedures, principles, and institutional values followed in the organization
  • Preparing education project plans (purchases - cash - training plans - project plans) and sharing them with the project manager
  • Participate in managing budgets related to field activities
  • Coordination with local authorities and stakeholders to facilitate project work
  • Supervising the implementation of activities by field assistants according to the work plan
  • Preparing monthly reports and activity reports and participating in preparing final reports for projects
  • Coordinating the process of selecting field work teams and supervising their completion by field assistants
  • Coordination with human resources to prepare contracts for field supervisors and facilitators after preparing their data lists
  • Preparing purchase requests and following up on their submission and procedures with the Purchasing Department
  • Follow up on the work of assistants through weekly and monthly reports
  • Working to raise movement plans for projects and following up on individuals’ financial dues
  • Contributing to writing proposals and coordinating for conducting surveys
  • Attending Education Cluster meetings and continuously submitting updates to the project manager
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure all information is tracked according to project needs and donor requirements
  • Preparing media content and following up on the process of designing and printing it
  • Participate in the process of selecting trainers, preparing training materials, and following up on contracting with them
  • Work on selecting and forming parent councils in the targeted schools and documenting their selection process according to the established verification methods
  • Work to select beneficiaries according to the criteria followed for each proposal
  • Coordination with the admissions team to print distribution lists for students and teachers and prepare lists of beneficiaries / prepare preparation lists for participants in training courses
  • Coordinating with trainers and providing the necessary needs before and during training
  • Supervising the conduct of the distributions or training process and resolving the obstacles that may be encountered
  • Follow up on workers’ daily entitlements, complete their documents, and submit them to the financial department
  • Archive all data and files related to the department and preserve and archive them according to the system followed in the organization
  • Effectively represent the organization in relevant meetings, events, and training
  • Preparing a documentary file of activities after taking photos from the organization’s media department
  • Contributing to the implementation of the organization’s education project activities in accordance with (iNEE) standards
  • Organizing and facilitating workshops and awareness sessions on education-related topics with parents, school committees and education workers
  • Support the Project Assistant to disseminate information and engage communities (leaders, parents, etc) about education issues and available services
  • Support the project assistant to ensure that classrooms are a safe and protective environment for children, in coordination with the district level education office
  • Hold meetings with stakeholders, including local councils and other organizations that serve children and the community, to understand their educational priorities, introduce them to the projects and their goals, and involve them in the process
  • Archive expenditures and financial transactions for field activities and submit appropriate reports to the program manager
  • Perform other duties as required by the direct supervisor and related to his job position

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in education ,other relevant field
  • Previous relevant experience not less than 2 Years with Children/Youth education/Youth programs (planning, implementing/overseeing the implementation and reporting for education projects) – non-formal education programs and child Protection programs (academic, life-skills and recreational activities for children)
  • Experience in dealing with public stakeholders within the Education system (eg, school principals, Ministry/Directorate of Education representatives, communities)
  • Experience in organizing and/or conducting training, awareness sessions, workshops, etc
  • Competence in using computer packages including Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Familiar with Yemen context and geography Ready to travel on mission into different Governorates
  • Excellent written communication skills in Arabic and English
  • Excellent documentation and report writing skills
  • Excellent cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Ability to spend extended periods of time in field conditions
  • Problem solver and hard working with ability to work under pressure
