NMO is a registered national NGO with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor No. 284. Our mission is to take the lead to empower communities in Yemen through humanitarian response and sustainable development programs in a professional way through effective partnerships. NMO started its activity in Yemen since 2012, and has been implementing projects in 5 sectors namely FSL, Education, WASH, SNFIs/CCCM, and Governance and skill-building.

NMO is looking for an efficient and qualified person to fill the post of CCCM Field Officer to carry out the following tasks:

 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall data management for the project team, including taking ownership of the Site Resident Database and ensuring this is updated in an accurate and timely manner to support the SNFIs/CCCM field team
  • Design and develop KOBO tools for data collection as per the needs of the project team, for example for new site assessment surveys and newly IDPs registration.
  • Compile monthly CCCM indicator achievements from the CCCM team, and input these on to Activity Info for the CCCM Cluster
  • Carry out cross checking tasks on distribution lists as required to ensure identification of gaps and avoidance of duplicated distributions
  • Prepare service mapping and monthly gap lists to be shared with relevant clusters, and support coordination with relevant partners to minimize the gaps, under the supervision of CCCM PM.
  • Conduct and supervise data entry while ensuring that data meet high quality standards (including in the field and in the office).
  • Contribute to innovate ideas for improving information flows within the project team.
  • Support the Data management officer in liaising with the MEAL team regarding distributions and ensure consistent response from the MEAL department to requests for information.
  • Ensure that all sources of verification are cross-examined prior to reporting.
  • Ensure timely and effective collection of data from data sources and identify appropriate data sources.
  • Produce and update information products such as reports, charts, infographics, and other materials.
  • Preparing the final list after the distribution, modifying all data received from the field team, identifying receives and non-receives beneficiaries, and sharing it with the data management officer.
  • Archiving all distribution documents in the electronic archive like OneDrive and the organization's archive.
  • Archiving all the distribution documents in hard copy archiving in their respective folders after the distribution is completed.
  • Preparing the weekly report and following up on the project team to get the required information and images and ensuring that the report include all the activities implemented during the specified period.
  • Coordinating and communicating with the Accountability Assistant in MEAL department and responding to complaints reported by them.
  • Submitting weekly reports to the line manager on all activities, achievements, problems and challenges.
  • Conduct data quality checks to the data/information periodically.
  • Undertake any other tasks assigned by the line manager.

 

 

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Information Technology, Computer sciences, or any related field.
  • Minimum 1 years in managing the data of beneficiaries for humanitarian projects for distribution of relief items (Shelter items, hygiene kits, food baskets or cash transfer programming) with experience in international and/or local NGO.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office, Pivot table in Excel, Power BI and KOBO toolbox.
  • Report writing skills, Proficiency in English (Writing and Speaking).
  • Familiarity with using Smart Tools for Data Collection (KoBo, ODK, etc.);
  • Capability to work in different environment based on deadlines.
