Position: Emergency Shelter & NFIs Distribution Officer.
Reports to: Shelter project manager.
Supervision of: Field Assistant.
Duty station: Aden with travelling to the targeted Governorates (Aden, Aldhala, Abyan, Lahj, Hodiedah, Shabwah and Taiz).
Travel: 75%.
Contract duration: 4 months’ contract with possibility of extension subject to funding availability

About Nahda Makers Organization:

NMO is a humanitarian organization implementing several program in WASH, Food security, Livelihood,Education and child protection program in Yemen since 2012. With funding from different donors.

Job responsibilities:

1. Ensure compliance with NMO, donor, related cluster policies, guidelines and standards.
2. Assess, promote and document ideas for improvement and further program development options.
3. Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and asses’ new and better ways to assist.
4. Monitor the activities and manage the NFI team in provision of NFIs.
5. Provide regular reports to the project manager.
6. Coordinate and collaborate with Governorate, District and other governance structures at community level for communication and intervention clarity.
7. Contribute in capacity building of the NFI Team and transfer key skills.
8. Help plan and carry out needs assessments, baseline studies and surveys, and provide feedback on the findings from the various project stakeholders.
9. Ensure proper filing of documents.
10. Prepare the finance documents of casual labors and follow it with finance department.
11. presented NMO in the related meetings as requested.
12. Carry out any other relevant task to the position as requested by the line manager.


• Qualifications:


1. 2 years’ relevant experience from a humanitarian context.
2. University Degree in Engineering, or any relevant field.

3. Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
4. Be able to use a wide variety of software, including Word, Excel and Power Point
5. Fluency English skills.
6. Ability to do capacity session to staff and target groups
7. Political and cultural awareness.
8. Ability to work independently in a result oriented multi-tasking and multi-task and work under pressure.
9. ability to organize the priorities and decision making.
10. Handling insecure and different environments.
11. Planning and delivering results.
12. Strong communication skills and building trust.
13.Takes initiatives, has creative thinking and focuses on solutions rather than problems.
14. Open to learning and criticism, willing to improve where needed.
15. Able to travel to remote rural area including overnight stay.
