Activities of the “Yemen Joint Response Project funded by the #DRA and in partnership with #Cordaid, Nahda Makers Organization #NMO recently carried out two activities: “Provision of agricultural Seedlings and planting them” in Lahj Governorate – Tuban District.
These activities targeted 60 farmers from the area, where 4,000 tomato seedlings of the “Al-Zahra” variety were distributed to the beneficiary farmers. The farmers then planted the seedlings in the targeted lands in an organized manner to ensure successful growth and achieve abundant production.
The organization also raised farmers’ awareness about the importance of using suitable seedlings and improving tomato cultivation efficiency. In addition, it provided guidance on proper planting and care techniques to ensure healthy growth, contributing to improving farmers’ income and enhancing food security in the area.
The distribution process was organized carefully to ensure that all beneficiaries received the seedlings efficiently and smoothly.
All these efforts aim to enhance local agricultural production by providing high-quality seedlings and supporting their cultivation, thereby improving farmers’ livelihoods, increasing tomato productivity, and promoting agricultural sustainability.
