#Nahda_Makers Implements the “Humanitarian System Transformation through Local Humanitarian Leadership (HST-LHL)” Project

As part of its continuous efforts to enhance collaboration and capacity building, Nahda Makers Organization (#NMO) is currently implementing one of its key Governance and capacity building program: “Humanitarian System Transformation through Local Humanitarian Leadership”, funded and supported by the #Ministry_of_Foreign_Affairs_Netherlands in partnership with #Oxfam.

The project targets national and local humanitarian organizations across the country, including women-led organizations, with the aim of empowering local humanitarian actors and women’s groups to take on a stronger leadership role within the humanitarian system.

Recently, #NMO organized one of the project’s activities in #Aden under the Auspices of HE Minister of Social Affairs and labour, through a consultative workshop with Local and National NGOs. The workshop focused on a study analyzing the level of participation of local organizations in humanitarian coordination mechanisms and the challenges they face in leadership and decision-making.

A total of 50 civil society organizations from the governorates of Aden, Lahj, Abyan, and Al-Dhalea took part in the workshop.

This activity is part of a series of consultative workshops being implemented in four key governorates: Aden, Taiz, Hadramout, and Marib. The workshops aim to provide a solid knowledge base that will strengthen the presence of local and national organizations in the humanitarian landscape and enhance their ability to influence and participate in decision-making processes.
