Protection Officer

Reports to: M&E Officer

Duty station: Aden with extensive travelling to the targeted Governorates (Aden, Ad Dale'e, Abyan, Lahj, Al-Hudaydah and Taiz).

About Nahda Makers Organization:

NMO is a humanitarian organization implementing several program in WASH, Food security, Livelihood, Shelter, Education and child protection program in Yemen since 2012. With funding from different donors.

Job responsibilities:

 Develop well-structured plans for all protection activities.

 In collaboration with M&E officer, conduct intake and post-session assessments for the beneficiaries.

Conduct  data entry and analysis of gathered information.

 Identify protection cases and other service needs and ensure timely referral and follow up, documenting all cases referred by NMO to other service providers, as per Protection standards for referrals and data protection. 

Data collection to support protection assessments, as required (conduct interviews, focus group discussions, questionnaires etc.

 Responsible for the confidentiality and security of protection data and documents.

Contribute to data entry and analysis, and ensure protected system of gathered information

Ensuring that protection is mainstreamed into all NFIs distributions in the targeted governorates.

Conduct frequent field visits to assess the providing protective services.

 Weekly and monthly reports on progress against targets.

Participate in Protection cluster meetings and any other related to protection sector.

 Carry out any other relevant task as requested by the line Supervisor.

Education:

Bachelor degree in social science or other relevant education.

Experience:

Two years of experience working with local NGO or INGO or in a similar sector.

Requirements:

 Excellent written and spoken English.

Excellent computer skills ( MS Office suite, SPSS, ODK and Kobo toolbox ).
